An ancient tome was found under a pile of crimson leaves, Book 1 it was titled.
She didn't know quite what it meant, but she hurried home to read the words written within.
A book of stories from a time long forgotten, signed by a name she did not recognize, she turned the pages lightly reading its contents to learn of a place of druids.

This strange town seemed to be outside of time. The people who lived there did so without modern things to keep their free minds from being shackled.
These people knew of magic, they could speak to the land and trees as well as the animals that lived in the forests all around the town.
"How could it be that these simple folk could do such wonderous things?" She thought," It is as if they knew the secrets to life."

Cold Winds Blowing

One day, in the town, a strange wind blew from the north. An unseasonal coldness creeping between the sea of orange and crimson trees that stood strong around the small town. Most druids in the town met together in the old temple, discussing this odd wind that had snuck into the forest unannounced.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Flax, a druid with the head of a rabbit, suggested carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns to frighten the winds away from the town, at least until winter.
The other druids knew better than to try and frighten the wind, a force that seemed to go wherever it pleased without much argument. This did not stop the rabbit druid, he was quick to carve a great many of pumpkins over the next day and a half to disperse the lanterns all throughout the town.

All Hallow's Eve

The day was coincidently Halloween, Flax was decorating the town with his creations. There was no arguing with him on this idea, so the other druids played along.
This large quantity of unique jack-o-lanterns caused quite the stir in the region. People from all over came to see the display in the town that had been kept from the modern world.
Some thought that these modern people would corrupt the town with their technology, but the opposite had happened. These visitors were able to be free from such distractions for at least one day, being more at peace with themselves and the world around them.

The First Snowfall

|
He was born in the morning under a snowy sky.
It was unusual for snow to fall in these lands at such a time, the others thought of it as a sign of magic.
The druids gathered to see the young boy, the child who came with the snow.
When he was brought home, there was a celebration for the new baby boy who would be the newest druid in the forest.
The snow seemed to bring good tidings.

Gathering with Family

When the druids had gathered together, a short song was sung. it was repeated thrice, each time more singing.
"It was a lovely time to be together." the woman thought when she slept in the town's inn," I think I may stay here longer to see what these druids do when the trees lay dormant until spring."

Deep-reaching and dense darkness encroaches and extends its tendrils out of every crack of the weathered stone walls. The compositions are very simple but sound extraordinarily oppressive and immersive. Like the seemingly physical weight of fear and distress while walking through the unknown. The slow drums complete the foreboding and funereal aura.

This is technically a double album, though you might not realize it at first. The first five tracks are the score to the narration of “Roses of War (730-731 AT)” as narrated by Christopher Robert Andreasen. The score itself is dark and moody, punctuating the heavy emotions of wartime. I strongly recommend listening to each half of those album separately to truly appreciate each presentation to its fullest, as both are truly fascinating.
